Description
This building is a lofted stable and cartshed at Hendy, dating from the 19th century. It features a single-storey feed and tack room on the right gable and has external stone steps leading to the loft on the left. There is a lean-to addition along the rear wall. The structure is made of rubble masonry, with the front elevation using snecked stone, large stones as quoins, and lintels. The roof is covered with small slates, has a tiled ridge and coping, and includes a rectangular gable stack with capping on the right side of the lofted section.
The building has a stable at the left end, with a narrow window on the left and a boarded door on the right, alongside a wide cartshed bay to the right. The loft features a doorway at the apex of the left gable and two windows set beneath the eaves; these are unequal top-hung casements with small panes over paired rectangular lights. A similar window is located at the left end of the feed and tack room, which has a boarded door to the right. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
