Description

This building is a 3-storey house and shop known as Stanley Butchers, featuring pebble-dashed walls, a hipped slate roof, and a roughcast stack. It has a single bay facing Castle Street with a shop front. The shop window is plain and has replaced a 6-pane sash window that was shown in a mid-20th century photograph. The window is set in a surround with raised fields, a plain fascia, and a moulded cornice, which is partly obscured by an added awning. The splayed corner of the shop has half-lit panelled doors with vented upper panels.

On the middle storey, there is a 2-pane oriel window that originally displayed 'Stanley Butchers' in raised letters below the sill. The upper storey features a tripartite window.

The Church Street elevation has three windows and includes smooth-rendered sill bands, pilaster strips, and architraves, with keystones in both the lower and middle storeys. The entrance is located to the right of centre and consists of a half-glazed panelled door with an overlight, along with three 2-pane sash windows. The middle storey contains two 2-pane sash windows, and on the right side, there is a framed panel that reads 'Stanley & Sons Family Butchers' in raised letters. The upper storey has two 2-light windows.
