Description

This building is a three-storey, four-bay house and shop located on a corner site. It features scribed roughcast walls painted grey and a slate roof that is hipped to the right. There is a central roughcast chimney stack and another stack on the right side of the Raglan Street elevation.

The house has a late 19th-century half-glazed panel door set back in the left-hand bay, which is topped by a round-headed overlight made of frosted glass. To the right of the door is a 12-pane hornless sash window. The two right-hand bays contain a notable mid-19th-century shop front, which includes central recessed half-glazed panel doors beneath an overlight. Flanking these doors are two-light windows on moulded sills, supported by thin colonnettes and round arches. Most of the spandrels feature original foliage patterns in etched glass. The shop front is adorned with panelled pilasters that have double consoles at the ends of the fascia, topped by a moulded cornice.

On the middle storey, there are 12-pane hornless sash windows, while the upper storey features shorter 9-pane sashes, with one window on the right side being blocked.

On the Raglan Street side, there is a replacement camber-headed shop window below a replacement window in a canted first-floor oriel. The upper storey has a blocked window on the right and a 9-pane window on the left, which has replaced an original sash window.

The building has not been inspected.
