Description
Pier House & Cafe is a pair of 3½-storey, 2-bay houses built with roughcast walls painted cream, featuring white-painted architraves and banding. The buildings have a billet eaves cornice beneath a slate roof, roughcast end stacks, and four modern box dormers. The front façade includes rusticated angle pilasters, with entrances located in the inner bays that have replacement doors beneath round-headed overlights and hood moulds. The outer bays feature 2-storey canted bay windows with 4-pane horned sashes, except for a 2-pane sash window on the lower right. The middle storey contains a narrow 4-pane sash window in the inner bays, while the upper storey has shorter 4-pane sash windows. Each bay also includes a raked roof dormer with a replacement window.
On the right gable end facing Wall Street, there are 4-pane sash windows in both the lower and middle storeys. The rear of the building features a central 3-storey gabled wing, which is heightened on the right side to a flat roof. This wing has 4-pane sash windows above a flat-roof single-storey projection that faces Wall Street. The property has not been inspected.
