Description

A late-Georgian style terrace of four 3-storey houses, each with three bays to the front. The buildings have rendered walls (pebble-dashed at No 5), a slate roof, and brick and roughcast stacks. The entrance to each house is positioned on the right side, recessed beneath a broad segmental arch. The ground storey contains a single window, the middle storey has two windows including an oriel window, and the upper storey has two windows flanking a blind central window.

Number 2 features a replacement fielded-panel door with flanking half-glazed panels and overlight. The windows have been replaced in their original openings, and the blind upper-storey window has been infilled and rendered over. Number 3 is the least altered house on the terrace. Its entrance door is fielded-panel, flanked by half-glazed fielded-panel sides, with a wide segmental overlight featuring diagonal glazing bars. The ground storey has 12-pane hornless sash windows. The middle storey contains a 12-pane horned sash window to the right and a replaced 2-light oriel window. The upper storey has 9-pane sash windows. Number 4 has a replacement door, side panels, and overlight. The ground storey contains replacement 12-pane sash windows, the middle storey has a similar window to the right and a 2-light oriel to the left, and the upper storey has replacement 9-pane hornless sash windows. Number 5 has a fielded-panel door with flanking half-glazed panels and an overlight with diagonal glazing bars. The windows have smooth-rendered architraves. The ground storey has 12-pane hornless sash windows. The middle storey contains a replacement oriel window to the left and a small-pane replacement window to the right. The upper storey also has replacement small-pane windows.

The rear elevation has two bays per house with gabled bays, the left-hand bay brought forward on each. Number 4 is rendered with replaced windows. Number 3 is roughcast, painted white, with small-pane sash windows. Number 2 is roughcast with small-pane sash windows.

All four houses follow the same plan, with an entrance hall leading to an open-well stair and a first-floor drawing room.
