Description

Morianfa is a three-storey, five-bay house with whitened pebble-dashed walls, a hipped slate roof, and two roughcast chimney stacks. The main entrance features a doorway that was widened in the late 19th century, which includes a fielded-panel door, flanking half-glazed panels, and an overlight. The glass in the overlight has leaded lights and some coloured glazing. To the left of the entrance is a blind window, followed by a two-storey canted bay window with replacement French doors and a segmental overlight. On the right side, there is a 12-pane horned sash window and a replacement half-glazed door in the end bay, which serves as the entrance to the former right-hand house, accessed through a 1930s round-headed doorway. A late 19th-century cast-iron balcony spans the entire front of the house, supported by polygonal moulded columns, with scrolled neo-classical brackets and a neo-classical balustrade.

The middle storey features 12-pane horned sash windows, except for the previously mentioned bay window on the left and a blind window immediately to its right. The upper storey contains shorter 9-pane sash windows, which are hornless at the left end, with the next window being blind and the remaining windows horned.

On the left-hand elevation facing Raglan Street, the central bay is blind. The outer bays have 12-pane horned sash windows in the lower and middle storeys, and shorter 9-pane horned sashes in the upper storey.

Inside, the main entrance has a late 19th-century half-lit panelled screen with leaded glazing, leading to the stair hall at the back. The open-well staircase features turned balusters and newels, with panelled tread ends. The flight from the middle to upper storey has simpler balusters. The first-floor drawing room has panelled reveals around its windows.
