Description
The Sail Loft is a 2-storey building dating from the 19th century, located on a gentle slope above the northern end of the harbour at Porth Amlwch. It features a long, three-window range with large raking buttresses at the west gable end. The structure is built of stone with roughcast rendered elevations and has a modern slate roof, which includes a rendered rectangular gable stack with capping at the west end.
The main entrance faces north, with the ground floor openings arranged as double doors to the right, followed by windows in a W-D-W-W-D pattern. The doorways have shallow cambered heads, and the windows are small paned casements, some of which are blocked. On the rear (south) elevation, there is a single blocked doorway to the left and the west gable features a single first-floor window to the left and a blocked doorway to the right. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
