Description

The Llangefni County School War Memorial is a stone (or reconstituted stone) statue of a soldier, depicted with a rifle pointing downwards, which stands on a tall tapering freestone base. On the north side of the base, there are slate tablets fixed below a sculpted wreath. The larger tablet lists names from the roll call for the years 1914-18, while a smaller tablet commemorates those who were killed in 1939-45. The stepped freestone plinth is inscribed with the names of various theatres of battle from the First World War.
