Description

Melin Sguthan, also known as Union Mill, is a full height, four-storey windmill tower built in a circular plan. The walls are made of rubble masonry that slightly taper, and were originally rendered, with some render still remaining. The structure is roofless and capless, featuring fragmentary remains of a wooden super-structure. There are doorways at the ground floor and rectangular windows on the upper levels, which have segmental heads made of roughly hewn voussoirs.
