Description
Myfyrian Uchaf is a two-storey house with attics, featuring a three-window front and a central gabled porch on the south side. At the rear, there is a lofted single-storey wing that forms a T-plan, along with a single-storey wing to the right, which is a 19th-century dairy, and a gabled porch in the angle. The building is constructed from local rubble, sitting on boulder foundations, with roughcast rendering. The front elevation is slate-hung. The roof is modern, with slate copings on the east side and tiles on the west; there are rubble gable stacks on the main part, with the west stack rendered. The north wing has a tall rendered stack on its north gable, and there is a tall axial stack set diagonally at the junction of the main range and the north wing.
The principal elevation on the south side has a three-window range with a central gabled porch. The windows are modern, top-hung, four-pane casements, with a three-pane fixed light in the south porch wall and a doorway on the east side. The side elevations of the main range feature four-pane sash windows on each storey, with the east end having a four-pane light in the attic and the west end being blocked. The north wing includes a four-pane sash window on the west side and a four-pane fixed light on the east; the east wall of the gabled porch has a similarly styled window, with a doorway in the south wall. The north gable wall has a smaller fixed light on the ground floor, and steps on the right side lead up to a plank door for the loft above. The east wing has a doorway at the west end of the north wall and a single four-pane sash window in the east gable.
Inside, the house has been modernised and the original layout has been altered. The roof of the main part contains some original cross-beams and rough-hewn, pegged trusses. There are some boarded doors, and the kitchen at the rear retains the original rough-hewn bressumer.
