Description

The barn at Plas Coch is a large 8-bay threshing barn constructed of red gritstone and sandstone, featuring crow-stepped gables and rough limestone coping. It has wide, centrally-placed opposed doors with massive jambstones and segmental stone arch heads, along with a smaller door on either side of the east side. The ventilation slits have been in-filled, and there is a range of dove-holes along the eaves at the south end of the east wall.

Inside, the barn retains original queen post trusses with raking struts, of which 5 out of the original 7 remain, although some tie-beams or struts are missing.
