Description

The former lifeboat station at Mumbles Pier features a lattice girder walkway that runs along the northern side of the pier. This walkway, along with the lifeboat station and the slipway, is supported by concrete piles. The lifeboat station itself is constructed from clap-board and has a pitched roof with projecting eaves, all painted maroon. It includes T-shaped windows, with the walkway leading to a doorway that is flanked by windows. To the right at a lower level, there is a pair of windows. On the landward side, there are four T-shaped windows. The eastern side has double sliding doors that open to the slipway, situated beneath a pair of T-shaped casements in the gable.
