Description
The East Gateway at Calder House, dated 1670, is a Renaissance structure featuring dressed stone gate-piers with alternate courses that are hammer-dressed. The upper parts of the gateway form a broken pediment and are topped with ball-finials. There is an ornamented frieze displaying the date, and the return walls also feature ball-finials. The gateway is completed with cast iron gates.
