Description

West Gate on the Panmure Estate is a Renaissance-style structure designed by Sir William Bruce around 1672. It features ashlar piers that are fluted and separated by bands, with moulded caps topped by ball and crown finials. The gate includes flanking panels that have inset armorial stones. Additionally, there are decorative wrought iron gates and low balustraded screens that end in square piers.
