Description

The Commemorative Column on the Panmure Estate is a 50-foot high Renaissance-style column set on a pedestal. It is made of faceted ashlar and features separating bands that lead to a moulded cap and an urn finial at the top. The column is inscribed with the names James Earl of Panmure and Countess Margaret, along with the date of their marriage in 1694.
