Description

The gate-lodge and gate-piers on Bank Street in Mid Calder date from the mid-19th century and are designed in a rustic style. The lodge is one and a half storeys tall, constructed from rubble with a gabled slated roof and features carved barge-boards. It has a one-storey bay window. The gateway includes dressed stone piers topped with ball finials, and a dice-wall with an open upper part.
