Description
26-28 High Street in Linlithgow is an early 19th-century, three-storey, three-bay tenement building that features a pend. The south elevation is constructed from painted squared, coursed, and stugged sandstone rubble, with base and eaves courses.
On the south entrance elevation, the ground floor is asymmetrical and includes a tripartite shop front with a modern wooden bracketed fascia. There is an entrance to the pend, which has an iron grill below the lintel and a deep-set door. The first-floor windows have painted architraves, while the second floor features smaller windows.
The north rear elevation includes a stair tower. The building has four-pane sash and case windows, a grey slate roof, ashlar coped skews, and broad rendered stacks at the gables.
