36-36A High Street, Linlithgow

36-36A High Street in Linlithgow is a tenement building from the later 18th century, featuring three storeys and an attic with three bays. The structure is made of cream sandstone rubble, which is coursed on the north elevation. Above the second-floor windows, there is a lintel course with raised margins.

On the south elevation facing the street, the ground floor has four bays. Originally, there were doors in the first and third bays from the right, but these have been blocked and replaced with windows. The ground floor windows are protected by iron window guards. The first and second floors have a regular arrangement of windows.

The north facade includes a turnpike stair turret. The building features 12-pane sash and case windows, a grey slate roof, slate-hung piended dormers, and ashlar coped skews with skewputts.
