Description
The bridge, dated circa 1820, is a structure on the Union Canal, near Auldcathie Kirk. Constructed under the direction of engineer Hugh Baird, it features segmental arches built from stugged ashlar stone. Railings are present along the parapet. Numerals are carved into the keystones. The Union Canal itself is designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument (SAM No. 4170), having been scheduled on 15 December 2003.
