Description
Bridge No.35 on the Union Canal dates to circa 1820. It is a single bridge with a segmental arch constructed from stugged ashlar. The bridge features an ornamental railing supported by polygonal piers along the parapet. It is a more elaborate design than many other bridges along the Union Canal, which is itself a Scheduled Ancient Monument, designated SAM No. 4170 on 15 December 2003.
