Description
This is a bridge, dating to around 1820, which carries the Union Canal. It is a single segmental arch constructed using stugged ashlar, with slab copings. The keystones are numbered. The Union Canal itself is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, designated SAM No. 4170 on 15 December 2003. The bridge’s statutory address is Stone Couple, Union Canal, Bridge 36.
