Description

The Baths and Fire Station Tenement on Hall Street in Clydebank was designed by architect James Miller of Glasgow and completed in 1902. This three-storey building with an attic features a fire station on the ground floor.

The exterior is primarily finished in polished ashlar, with brick at the rear and ashlar dressings. The design is asymmetrical, showcasing an arcaded three-bay fire station on the right. The close door is off-centre, and there are bipartite windows on the ground floor. Above the ground floor, the three bays are corbelled and canted, with parapets that break through the eaves. Most windows have lugged cills, and the topmost stair window above the close door features an arched and keystoned head.

The building also includes dormers, shaped skews, a corniced end, and diagonally set axial stacks, one of which has been cut down. The slate roof has projecting eaves.
