Description

James Miller of Glasgow, architect. Completed 1902.

Tenement, 3 storeys and attic with fire station at ground.

Polished ashlar (brick at rear, with ashlar dressings).

Asymmetrical. Arcaded 3-bay fire station right; close door

off-centre and ground floor bipartites; 3 bays corbelled

and canted above ground floor, with parapets breaking

through eaves. Windows mostly with lugged cills; topmost

stair window over close door has arched and keystoned head.

Dormers. Shaped skews; corniced end and diagonally set axial

stacks (1 cut down); slate roof with projecting eaves.
