Description
The Cottage on Drymen Road in Balloch dates from around 1930 and is a single-storey and attic, three-bay rectangular-plan cottage villa featuring a deep mansard roof with painted render.
The main elevation has a central door with a jerkin-gabled canopy that breaks the eaves, supported by slender wooden columns. On either side of the door are multi-paned canted windows. Above, there is a square tripartite dormer with a catslide roof, and two small leaded windows are symmetrically placed at the center.
The cottage has multi-paned metal windows and a grey slate roof with lead flashings. At the rear, there are tall, broad coped wallhead stacks with circular cans.
The boundary wall includes square offset gatepiers topped with low pyramidal caps. It is made of squared sandstone with saddleback coping and features a decorative cast-iron gate.
