Description
Chapel Hill Bridge, dated 1777, is a single span, segmental-arched bridge that carries a road over the Glen Striddle stream. The bridge is constructed of rubble, which has been recently repointed in cement mortar, and features recent mortar render on the coping and voussoirs. It shows signs of weathering and has a low parapet. On the northern parapet, there is a plaque inscribed with "Wm Johns built this bridge 1777." The southern parapet includes a relief of a ram's head, with a recessed plaque below that bears the inscription "Sir IC Luss."
