Description
Darroch Cottage is a mid-19th century, two-storey, three-bay rectangular-plan cottage, featuring flanking single-storey wings with piend roofs. The exterior is harled and painted, with painted ashlar margins and dressings.
On the main elevation, there is a gabled timber porch at the center, with bipartite windows on either side at the ground floor. Above the porch is a small round-headed window with gabled breaking eaves, flanked by dormer-headed windows. The single-storey, piend-roofed wings have a window at the center.
The ground floor windows are six-pane casement bipartite, while the upper floor features four-pane over six-pane lying-pane windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes lead flashings. The stacks are painted and coped, topped with octagonal cans.
