Description
Dell Steading is a later 19th century agricultural building arranged around a hollow square. It features harl pointed rubble with tooled rubble dressings. The principal southeast front is single storey with a loft height, while the rear is all single storey. At the southern end of the range, there is a 3-bay cottage with a gabled porch that conceals the central door and has paired gabled dormers. To the north, stables and a loft door break the wallhead, with five segmental-headed cart bays located near the center. A square water tower rises above the roof ridge, topped with a pyramidal roof and a tall cast-iron weathervane. The building has slate roofs.
