Description

The Putto Fountain, located on the eastern panterre of Balmoral Castle, was built in 1859. It features a shallow, circular granite basin with a rope-moulded base course and a chevroned rim. The centerpiece of the fountain is made of cast iron, with a fluted base supporting a shallow decorative bowl that has spouts around the rim. At the top, there is a statue of a putto on a circular base, which carries an additional gadrooned basin.
