Description
This is an early 19th-century bridge of two spans constructed from pinned rubble stone. The bridge features two dressed rubble arch rings, with one slightly larger than the other. The central section has an ashlar granite cutwater shaped like a triangle, built upon natural rock, and flanked by abutments. Shallow buttresses are present at the ends, and a low parapet runs along the top, featuring a tooled rubble coping. The bridge approaches are gently widened. The eastern arch measures approximately 24 feet in span, while the western arch is approximately 33 feet wide. The bridge crosses the River Truim, which forms the boundary between Laggan Parish. The bridge is located within the Cairngorms National Park.
