Byre Hill, located at Ardochbank in Doune, is a two-storey asymmetrical house built in 1851 with later additions. The building features snecked and squared rubble with ashlar dressings, and the windows are chamfered.
On the south elevation, there is a wide advanced bay with two bays to the left and one to the right. A gabled porch is set at an angle in the left re-entrant angle, with a tripartite window to the left. The advanced gable end has a canted bay with one hood-moulded window above, and there is one window in each bay on the first floor, all featuring wall-head gables. The west elevation also has a canted design at ground level. All windows are fitted with lying-pane glazing. The house has extensive rear buildings, projecting eaves, and a slate roof.
