Description
Garnock House is a mid-Victorian, two-storey detached villa constructed from coursed rubble. The building originally featured a symmetrical three-window front but was later extended to include a four-window arrangement on the east side. The entrance has an off-centre arched doorpiece, which was originally central, framed by early Venetian colonnettes and topped with a stilted and shouldered lintel. Above the entrance, there is a balcony feature with an arched window that has a keyblock. The other windows on the villa are architraved and shouldered, with those on the ground floor also featuring cornices. The house has a main cornice and a blocking course, topped by a piended slated roof.
