Description
Cowane's House is a 17th century ruin located on St Mary's Wynd in Stirling. Originally designed as a three-storey building with an attic, it has a U-shaped plan and is constructed from rubble. The structure features a square staircase tower facing the street and the remnants of a corbelled corner turret. The oldest part of the main building, situated in the southeast, is believed to have been started around 1603, with later additions made in 1633 and 1697.
