Description

Rowanhurst is an asymmetrical detached villa located at 15 Chalton Road in Bridge of Allan, dated 1863. The building is designed in an L-plan and features a two-storey front made of snecked rubble. The left side has an advanced gable with a canted bay that extends through both floors and includes a gablet on the front face. The right section has two windows and a moulded and consoled doorpiece situated at the inner bay. The openings are chamfered and shouldered, and the roof is slated, with straight skews that have finials.
