Description

Glendoune House is a late 18th century house with a raised basement and gardens. The main facade features a central, bowed projecting element. The original construction is of coursed stone, which has been patched with cement. A taller, two-storey wing in pink ashlar has been added to the north end of the house, designed in an Italianate style. The 3rd Statistical Account of Glendoune, page 830, provides additional details.
