Description

Late 19th century. 2-storey, 6-bay pair of mirrored houses. Painted coursed sandstone; harl to sides. Base course; eaves course; corniced blocking course; strip quoins. Architraves to window openings.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: pilastered, corniced, block-pedimented doorpieces to penultimate bays to outer left and right; steps to recessed timber doors; letterbox fanlights; single windows aligned above at 1st floors; regular fenestration to remaining bays.

W (SIDE) ELEVATION: 3-bay. Entrance to No 25 to right; timber door; letterbox fanlight; flanking single windows at ground and 1st floor (infilled windows to right).

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: entrance to No 19 to left; glazed timber door; letterbox fanlight.

4-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; rooflights; stone skews; gablehead and central ridge stacks; circular and polygonal cans.

INTERIORS: not seen 1998.

BOUNDARY WALL, GATEPIERS AND RAILINGS: coped boundary wall enclosing site. Single gatepier to entrance to No 19, single gatepier to entrance to No 25; small stretch of Fleur-de-lis finialed railings to No 25.
