22 New Bridge Street, Ayr

22 New Bridge Street in Ayr is an early 19th-century, three-storey and attic tenement that features commercial premises on the ground floor. The building is constructed of painted ashlar and includes a base course, a timber shopfront with a fascia, a cill course on the second floor, a cornice, a blocking course, and architraves and aprons around the window openings. The first-floor windows are adorned with cornices.

On the southeast elevation, the entrance to the close is located on the outer right, with a timber and glass door on the outer left and two shopfront windows in between. The first and second floors have regular window arrangements, while the attic features two canted dormers on the outer right and left.

The first and second floors have 12-pane timber sash and case windows, and the attic has 4-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate, and it has stone skews, coped gablehead stacks, and circular cans. The interior was not seen in 1998.
