Description

Early 19th century, with later alterations. 3-storey, 3-bay house forming part of terrace overlooking New Bridge. Painted render. 1st and 2nd floor cill courses; corniced band course dividing 1st and 2nd floors (former cornice). Tripartite openings at upper floors (left section blocked to central bay).

NE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central columned, corniced and pedimented doorpiece; 2-leaf timber door; letterbox fanlight; central entrance to modern shopfront to right, flanking shop windows; central entrance to shopfront to left, 2-leaf timber door, deep letterbox fanlight, flanking shop windows. Regular fenestration at upper floors.

SW (BOAT VENNAL) ELEVATION: 5-bay. Regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors.

Modern shop windows at ground floor; plate glass timber sash and case windows at upper floors to entrance elevation (some remaining 12-pane windows to rear). Grey slate roof; rooflight; corniced stack to right; circular cans.

INTERIORS: not seen 1998.
