Outrabister, Lunnasting

Outrabister is a house from the later 19th century, featuring a single storey and attic with a near-symmetrical three-bay layout. The rectangular plan includes an entrance porch at the west elevation and a modern flat-roofed addition on the north gable. There is also a single storey barn aligned to the north. The house has harled walls, while the barn has cement-rendered and harl-pointed rubble walls.

The east elevation, which serves as the entrance, has a single storey gabled porch at its center. This porch contains an eight-panel timber door on the south side, with two-pane glazing on the east and north sides. To the left of the porch is a narrow four-pane window, and to the right is a 15-pane timber sash and case window.

The south gable features a two-bay elevation with a window in each bay, both at ground level and in the gablehead at the first floor. The west elevation is symmetrical with two bays, each containing paired narrow 10-pane timber sash and case windows.

The north gable has its ground floor obscured by the modern flat-roofed addition, but there are narrow eight-pane timber sash and case windows flanking the center in the gablehead.

The roofs are modern grey slate, equipped with skylights for the attic and concrete skew-copes. The gablehead stacks are harled and coped, topped with circular cans.

The barn has a cement-rendered south end with a roof clad in corrugated sheets and a timber entrance door on the east side. The north end features harl-pointed rubble walls and a purple-grey slate roof.
