Description

Circa 1820. Former schoolhouse comprising near-symmetrical single storey and attic 3-bay principal block with single storey 2-bay wing adjoining SW gable. Harl-pointed rubble walls.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: near-symmetrical, entrance door offset slightly to left, 12-pane timber sash and case glazing in flanking bays. 2-bay wing to left with blind window to left of centre and modern door inserted to right.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: symmetrical, blind window to centre with 4-pane timber glazing in flanking bays. Modern lean-to addition to wing at right.

Stone slab roof to principal block with cast-iron rooflights to SE pitch; modern corrugated sheeting to wing; coped rubble gablehead stacks flanked by crowstepped skews and beak skewputts to principal block and wing.
