Description
1 Duke Street in Coldstream is an early 19th century, two-storey pair of houses featuring six bays and constructed of ashlar stone. The design includes two off-centre doors on the left side, recessed into the ground floor, along with five windows. Above, there is a band course over the first floor, which has six windows primarily featuring 12-pane glazing. The roof is slate, with a piended design on the left and a straight skew on the right, complemented by brick stacks. The return elevation facing Market Street is similarly detailed.
The building also has rendered rubble with margined windows. Notably, the window at the upper right is blind but is painted to resemble a 12-pane sash. There is a shouldered stack present as well.
