Description

A well preserved tower standing close to Barns stables. It forms a rectangular keep, 3 cottages in height, with an attic; ground floor is vaulted; the building has been considerably altered and the roof and floors are modern. The entrance doorway on the ground floor still retains its grated iron yett; date 1498 is cut in the lintel but this

inscription appears to be of comparatively modern origin.
