Description
Craignish Castle is a 16th-century keep that is square in shape and has three storeys. The exterior is harled with a piended slate roof, featuring a corbelled parapet and angle turrets. An iron yett serves as the entrance. The interior has been modernised, with a vaulted ground floor and a dungeon below that has been cut out of rock. A turnpike stair provides access between the levels.
To the north, there is an addition from around 1835, which was originally a long wing but has since been reduced. This section has two storeys and an attic, with a gabled roof and a gabled dormer. A moulded string-course runs along the building, and there is a gablet above the entrance. To the east, there is a rubble rampart.
