Description
Earlier 19th century. Lodge to Broadmeadows, on sloping sites; single storey to S and E; 2-storey to W and N. Squared and snecked whinstone with contrasting sandstone long and short quoins and painted dressings. Deep overhanging timber eaves; shaped and pierced rafters to principal gable.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 2-bay; advanced and gabled entrance bay to centre; boarded door with decorative iron hinges; window to right return. Canopied canted window in principal gabled bay to outer left; narrow round-arched blind opening in gablehead above.
W ELEVATION: advanced gabled bay to left; windows to both principal floors; narrow round-arched blind opening in gablehead above.
N (REAR) ELEVATION: doorway at centre; boarded door; windows flanking to left and right.
E ELEVATION: single window. Cast-iron panels with lattice and border glazing set in sliding timber frame. Grey-purple slate roof; coped ridge and wallhead stacks; finials missing from gableheads.
