East Lodge, Broadmeadow, Yarrowford

East Lodge at Broadmeadow in Yarrowford dates from the earlier 19th century and serves as the lodge to Broadmeadows. It is situated on sloping ground, with a single-storey structure to the south and east and a two-storey design to the west and north. The building is constructed from squared and snecked whinstone, featuring contrasting sandstone long and short quoins and painted dressings. It has deep overhanging timber eaves and shaped, pierced rafters on the principal gable.

The south entrance elevation has two bays, with an advanced and gabled entrance bay at the center. This bay features a boarded door adorned with decorative iron hinges and a window on the right return. To the outer left, there is a canopied canted window in the principal gabled bay, along with a narrow round-arched blind opening in the gablehead above.

On the west elevation, there is an advanced gabled bay to the left, with windows on both principal floors and a narrow round-arched blind opening in the gablehead above.

The north rear elevation has a centrally located doorway with a boarded door, flanked by windows on both sides.

The east elevation features a single window, with cast-iron panels that include lattice and border glazing set in a sliding timber frame. The roof is covered with grey-purple slate and has coped ridge and wallhead stacks, although the finials are missing from the gableheads.
