Description

General's Bridge is possibly an 18th-century structure. It features a broad single segmentally-arched design that spans the Yarrow Water. The bridge is constructed from squared and snecked rubble, with voussoirs forming the arch. At the base of the ashlar-coped parapet, there is a mutuled band, and the bridge has curved approaches with rounded outer piers on the west side.
