Description

Walburn Bridge is a bridge located in North Yorkshire, dating from the 18th century and extending into the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar and rubble. The upstream side of the bridge features a single round arch built in two parts, with 18th-century chamfered ashlar voussoirs, rubble spandrels, and a parapet topped with ashlar segmental coping. The downstream side, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century, is made of ashlar and includes pilasters with banded rustication flanking the arch, which has parallel tooling on the voussoirs and a hoodmould. There is also a band and a rubble parapet with ashlar segmental coping.
