It is constructed of coursed whinstone, with a rendered shopfront and raised red sandstone dressings and quoins.
The principal elevation has three bays, with a window and tenement door flanked by large three-pane display windows in the plain shopfront at the ground floor. The first and second floors each have a single central window flanked by tripartite mullioned windows. The side elevation facing Howegate has a single bay with a large two-pane display window in the shopfront at the ground floor.
