Description
This building at 2 and 4 Roxburgh Street in Kelso dates back to the 18th century and was refronted in the early 19th century. It is a three-storey structure with an attic and features five bays. The ground floor on the left has a shop front with pilasters, while the entrance door to the house on the right is slightly advanced and framed by clasping pilasters and deep coved reveals. The upper floors are finished in painted ashlar, with the first-floor windows featuring moulded architraves and cornices. The second-floor windows have moulded architraves only. There is a moulded eaves-course, and the northern side has a moulded skew-putt brick stack. The roof is slated and includes a single piended attic dormer.
