Description

Virtue Well in Yetholm is a late 18th century structure. It features a sandstone segmental-arched panel and frame that is set within a rubble whinstone retaining wall. The panel is inscribed with "1887 AW FW," although the spout is missing. There is also an inscribed lintel above the panel, which is now illegible and appears to be of an earlier date.
