Description
Blackadder Suspension Bridge is a mid-19th century single span wrought-iron girder bridge that crosses the Blackadder Water. Although it is referred to as a suspension bridge on maps, it features a lattice parapet and is supported by stugged ashlar piers with polished ashlar dressings. The bridge has rusticated quoins at the abutments, coped dies, and curved wing walls. The route across the bridge is timber boarded.
