Description
Kimmerghame Bridge is a single arch classical bridge built in 1822, spanning the Blackadder Water. It is constructed from squared and roughly coursed sandstone, featuring ashlar dressings. The bridge has engaged polygonal outer piers with buttressing abutments that frame a segmental arch made of voussoirs. At the top, there is a stone mutuled wallhead with a balustraded parapet, along with ashlar dies and raised, panelled tablets on each side at the center. The intrados is made of coursed stone, and the jambs are channelled stone.
