Description
South Lodge at Fingask Castle dates from around 1800 and is a single-storey, three-bay gothic lodge house featuring a high piend roof. The exterior is harled with stone dressings and includes gothic windows with trellis tracery and stone mullions.
The northeast elevation is symmetrical, with a slightly advanced piended bay at the center that has a door, flanked by traceried tripartite windows. The southeast elevation, which faces the road, has a single bay with traceried tripartite windows. The southwest elevation features a door to the right and a small extension on the outer right side.
All openings are currently blocked. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are painted brick stacks with cans. The eaves are deeply overhanging. Additionally, there are decorative cast-iron railings surrounding the property.
